Chocolate chip almond butter granola bars
A simple mix of oats, dates, almonds, almond butter, chocolate chips and maple syrup makes these bars both gluten-free and irreristible snacks to recover from an intense workout.

Ingredients
- 200 g packed dates (pitted)
- 60 ml maple syrup
- 64 g almond butter
- 80 g raw nuts (such as pecans and almonds)
- 135 g rolled oats
- 45 g semisweet or dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Toast the oats in a pan for a few minutes, careful not to burn them. Reserve.
- Place dates, almond butter and maple syrup in a food processor. Blend until it forms a smooth and sticky paste.
- Chop pecans/almonds into small chunks.
- Add the toasted oats, nuts and chocolate chips to the date mixture and mix well with your hands. It will he hard ans sticky, but keep at it!
- Line a rectangular dish with baking paper, and pour the dough on it. Flatten with your hands, and finish off by placing an additional sheet of baking paper on top, and flattening with a rolling pin.
- Chill in the fridge for ~30 min.
- Take out of the fridge, and cut into bars, Eat now, or store back into the fridge. These bars do not contain any ingredient that spoil, so they will keep for a long time in the fridge!
